Is that joint what they call the half joint?

Just curious, not see a close up picture of one until that one.

No I am not associated with this auction, just thought it was a nice cue.

I would be careful listening to anything this poster says....I would not be surprised in the least if this auction was his and he is just trying to back door pump it up...Why would he start a thread like this in the for sale section??......Interesting

Please read his other posts. He is not a business person that I would ever want to deal with..

Here, here man.

He doesn't even deserve a response to his questions, never mind doing business with him.

WTF gives you the right to post someone elses Ebay Auction here on AZ?
I know this guy - he's a great source of Alex Brick and Gilbert cues. I can guaranfaakintee you that if he wanted that dam cue listed here, he would have done it himself.

This cue is NOT Shorty's. How do I know? He couldn't afford something like this (but I'll bet he emailed the seller asking for more pics and some specs) and, he probably thinks that this cue, a Dennis Searing cue, is "overpriced". MOre to the point, he is a clueless time waster.

Yes Shorty, certainly agree with you.. subtle in design, and I love
Brazilian rosewood. It will be interesting to see where she ends up.
I have never owned a Searing and he's most certainly on my list.... who knows?.. maybe, maybe.

It is a nice cue, and thanks for answering my question. I have seen a few cues with that joint, but never a picture up close is why I asked. I have read how it hits a little more like a wood to wood than a standard SS 5/16-14 such as on a Schon. Definitely something to consider at least.

Shorty

The cue belongs to a AZ forum member and has been discussed in another Searing for sale thread (another overprice was thread) in Wanted/For Sale forum.

I agree that if that member wanted to "advertise" the cue on AZ, he certainly could have done so by now.

Unless you get on Dennis's list, you may be like me...
Waiting for a good deal on a pretty cue.

Just send an e-mail to Dennis Searing (you will find his address in one of the threads) and join the wait. I have been on the list for almost a year. If the weather does not destroy his shop, it may arrive in a year...or two...or three. Will find out for sure at Valley Forge.

Later!

Why wait? You got a little over an hour to bid. Think it will crack 3 grand?

I think the cue is very nice but I decided to pass on this one (just closed a deal on another cue that went a bit higher than the Searing).
Saw it closed and whoever won got a beautiful piece of Brazilian Rosewood.
