Looking at a Xmas Gift for friend.
I am looking at the Nick Varner cues. I would like to know thoughts on these.. Are they better worse than a Action or Viking or ????
I know they are an import but so many production cues now are.
I shot with a new one 3 years ago in Bowling green but dont know much more about them. Like over all quality for long term use and so on...

Thank you to all in advance...

I had just a basic.sneaky with a radial pin. I was actually surprised of how well it played. But that's about all I know of those cues. Good luck

About 4 or 5 years ago when I was in college an APA league was started in the campus pool hall. All the team captains received a Nick Varner cue as a gift, I wasn't a captain but my friend was who pretty much just gave me the cue. Um.....from what I remember it played okay. I was shooting with a Players cue back then and I remember the two cues played pretty similar. The only negative thing I can remember about that NV cue was that the shaft felt pretty light. It didn't give as solid of a hit as the Players shaft did. By no means was I not able to play with the NV cue but I remember that as a key difference and preferred the hit of the Players cue. Just my opinion though.

Dollar for dollar you won't find a better cue than a Nick Varner. They are a high end custom but they are well made and priced properly for a production cue.
