Not really, but at least nintendo is haphazardly getting kids into pool.
Check out the line at E3 for the pool booth:

I'm pretty sure this is pretty old but I just got a chance to play. Pretty fun.

I just put in my order for a custom Tim Scruggs Coco into birdseye plastic Wii pool cue.

I've got Wii Play, and while I do think the pool game is fun, it seems like they might have rushed it a bit. If the dimensions used for the table were applied to real-life, it would be like a 5 or 6 foot table (at least that's what it feels like). The stick seems like an interesting enhancement -- but the d-pad is still used for aiming, right?

It would be good if they would come out with a dedicated pool game (not just one as part of a pack) -- and if a gadget like the one you posted would actually measure user movements -- that would be worthwhile!

I'm not much of an online pool gamer though... I prefer the real thing! :) (I heard Jeanette on Runout Radio talk about her new alignment with an online pool site... anyone try it?)

Is the graphics on the Wii really that bad or is it just the video on youtube? I have a HD monitor on my laptop and it still looked bad IMO.

Last pool game I played was on Nintendo. I'd love to see one for my PS3 with REAL pool players, etc. and real sticks. That would be some cool stuff.

I have one of those on my 360 and PSP, but for snooker. you get to play all the ranking tournaments, play as all the players, and there's also some pool tournaments with bustamente and reyes. You get to create your own player and play in trickshot events. :D
