I just took this cue as a trade and intend on listing it for sale but want to know what a fair price is. Everything white on the cue is ivory including short points and ferrules. Let me know what I should ask for this like new cue. This cue is very well done and is in 98% condition.

But weight 15.8
Shaft 1 13 mm 4.0oz
Shaft 2 13 mm 4.2oz

With those ivory spears, the cue has to be above $2k range brand new. So I'd venture a guess this cue would be in the $1800 to the $2200 range and $1800 is probably low.

It's a gorgeous cue and I've seen this design before and the collar work is superb. Just a bit too heavy for me to consider but it's a really handsome cue. I admire Nitti's workmanship too and this is a splendid example.

Very sharp design its to bad chris does not build 5/16- 14 thread joints!

i think all cue makers should make 5/16x14.... all cue makers should be able to build whatever joint a customer wants..

i myself only prefer cues with a 5/16x14.. and there is sooo many i pass up on because of them having a big pin.. and i know before people say you should try it before you knock it.. and your right.. its true.. i have bought about 4 cues in the past that were big pin and none of them did anything for me.. so i sold them.. i have a few friends who have a few cues that are big pin and i really like the way they play..

so to me its not worth the trouble risking the fact i may not like it... so i stick to what i know i will like :)

Nitti Cue

Your cue would be comparable to my Nitti that I purchased in 2003 for $2900.00, which was before Chris's work was a well known as it is now. Your cue would most likely be around $4000.00 new with 2 shafts.

I would agree with Jamie pricing there. from the design of the cue Chris Nitti would priced this cue at around 3-3.5K brand new.

Pardon me for disagreeing on the pin issue.. but doesn't a SouthWest have a BIG pin? Mike Bender? some Joss West.? Lambros? Some Mottey's and James White's? I actually prefer a flat faced BIG pin cue. They hit more like a one piece cue in my opinion.

i have to be one of the only people on the planet who hate how south west cues play.. they feel like a giant dead log.. MY OPINION of course..

you know it may not be the pin that i dont like.. i think its the feel of the flat face phenolic joints...

but like i said. i know alot of cue makers like to use big pins.. but their refusal to use any other type of pin is a big turn off.. i see alot of cues that i really like and once i see the picture of the big pin, i go completly loose interest in the cue..

its just like how good a cue plays.. its all preference.. and big pins are just not mine.. and like i said.. i have played with a few cues that i like with big pins.. but i will never buy another one without trying it first...

me as well owned 3 and never own another with radial pin. Old school guess. No problem with 3/8 10 pin not a radial. 5/16-14 is perfect and easy put together without worries of carpal tunnel!:d

Beautiful cue you have there. Just for reference, here is one that was on a cue website that was recently sold. The stated the retail was $4,350 and asking price was $4,150. Looks pretty close to the same level of detail as yours.

You're going to have to discount it on the used market. If it were mine, I'd be thrilled to get $3K for it. JMO

Here is another that was for sale on here a while back for $2,500

Nothing really.. Somebody said something about pubs so I voiced my preference and that all cue makers should be able to make a cue in whatever joint configuration the customer wanted.. I know of several cue makers that will
Only make cues with the joint they want to use. .
