No left thumb - how to bridge?

A friend of a friend has a 13 year old son that was born with no left thumb.

The young man wants to learn to play pool.

Need suggestions for good ways to bridge.

Maybe this device on his forefinger?

It would be no problem to make him a glove with a prosthetic thumb built in it. He would even be able to make a closed bridge.

I once played a guy that shot like in the photo. Thought I had an easy game until I saw him play. The second photo works too if you have raised knuckles.
