You gotta love this. :D

This guy is selling stuff on e-bay and this is his opening statement in his auctions:

"Please remember this is an auction and all sales are FINAL as every auction is. This is not Wal-Mart you can't try stuff then decide you don't like it and send it back. I test what I can and am not going to lie and tell you it worked when I tested it if it doesn't. If it doesn't work when it arrives and I sold it AS IS don't ask for a refund It could get knocked around and broke in shipping.

Auctions don't work that way. I have been going to auctions for over 45 years. I sell items that are used and old most of the time. There is no Guarantee on used stuff. If you don't want to go by those rules then don't bid on used stuff. Go To Wal-Mart and buy new."

I partially agree and disagree with the guy's statement. I have sold items on eBay AS IS because sometimes there is a limit to my knowledge on the item so its more of a buyer beware or buy at your own risk. Its a way of weeding out the tire kickers and potentially problematic customers. I do disagree with his return policy, because if I purchase something and it arrives broken, then he should make consessions for some type of return or at least an exchange. Its very deceptive because he could selling me a broke down piece of crap and I wouldn't know better till I got it in the mail and he could play the 'it wasn't my fault' game. Always two sides of a coin....

Probably the funniest example of this that I've come across is some dude purchased a cue from a seller and 3 months later complained about it and asked for either a refund, exchange or partial refund. The irony of this is the same buyer had purchased a cue from the same exact seller earlier in the year and again 3 months later complained about problems with the cue. Talk about balls!
