No World Pool Masters or World Cup of Pool for 2016?

What happened to these events? There's no word of them from anywhere. At least Mosconi Cup is still going on..
 
That's a good question. Last year both of these had already taken place. This year there's no mention of them on the matchroompool.com site.

I could have sworn tickets were on sale for both events too earlier in the year, but maybe I imagined that, I thought the WCOP was meant to be in the York Hall, Bethnal Green (London), where the Mosconi Cup used to be held.

But here's the thing, historically speaking, both World Cup of Pool and World Pool Masters happen between August - September and this is the first time I've heard no word about from either. I read in the comments on the World Cup of Pool Facebook page that some people have said it was canceled but I've read no official statement. Aside from the Mosconi Cup, the World Cup of Pool is my favorite event and I'm quite disappointed in the lack of information.
 
I put up a post awhile ago asking the same thing, best I found was World Pool Masters in February.

Agreed, it's been really good the last few years, here in the U.K. the WCOP has been shown live on Sky Tv which is great!

I think for the Masters we just get highlights (well full matches, just not shown live).
 
Funny because Darren Appleton just posted this on Facebook:
Sadly the World Cupof pool in December in china postponed �� so myself and mark grey will need to wait to represent England until march or April to be confirmed if china or uk.

That's sad. Just saw that
Looks like his partner is now Mark Gray instead of long time Boyes.
Or I think if it is in China, they only have 1 England team so they would choose the better performers of England A and B so Darren +Mark
