Not sure where to start

This cue is supposed to be a Scruggs(I currently have no reason to believe it isn't but I have nothing to compare it to) I would like to get the butt cap replaced but if it really is a Scruggs I would like to find some way to show that. If it isn't I would love to know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never seen rings like that on a Scruggs, but I'm no Scruggs expert. The joint looks similar, not sure on the weight bolt. Do you have a picture of the whole cue? Also, is this possibly for sale?

Sure looks like it could be. Somebody didn't get along very well with that cue.

Well since we'll never know, best to just mail it to me for an indefinite inspection period

The cap broke from the bumper being really tight and being used as a bumper. I am not looking to sell it just get it back in shape(it is the only cue I own). Does anyone know if its possible to get a new cap with a stamp? I would consider trading if it something I really wanted like another Scruggs.
