From the looks of the video it appears the OB is in different spots each time a ball is released. How is that different than just rolling a ball out there by hand?

Hi, The O.B. Spotter will always throw the O.B. at the same place, the variation is due to the quality of the balls (weight, diameter) that changes a lot from balls to balls of different quality. Also the cloth as a lot to do in the trajectory. The precision is within half a centimeter over 90% of the time, still good enough for precise practice. Sure you can go and place the object balls yourself and walk 8-10 feets away 50 times if you want but the O.B. Spotter will do it for you much faster so you can concentrate on just the alignment of your body and shot making. Throwing the ball '' by hand," you will never achieve the same precision as the O.B. Spotter. Hope it answers your questions. Thank you.
