Hello,

I was just notified that I won a OB shaft in a raffle put up by Bigtruck. I have no knowledge of Ob shafts so I am asking for opinions please. I welcome all input on this.

Thanks,

Mike:smile:

I've been using an OB-1 on my joss for a little while, and I really like it.

The OB -1 is a 12 3/4 mm tip size, and the OB-2 is 11 3/4 tip size.

Mike,
I'm probably stepping into a mess but here goes. If your stroke is really straight or you plan on putting in the time to make it REALLY straight get the OB 2. If you plan to just enjoy playing pool in your leisure and your stroke is a bit crooked and not likely to improve, OR if you just are used to larger diameter tip/ferrule and don't want to change to a smaller diameter tip go with the OB-1. :duck:

Both are good shafts. If you have a chance go into your local pool room and ask around and try out one of your fellow entusiasts' OB shafts.

I have used both and now use OB2 as my primary shaft.

Joey can you explain how the smaller tip makes a bigger diffrence with a crooked stroke. I think I understand but still very curious.

thanks

thanks for the replies gentlemen, after talking with Royce at OB, i decided to go with the OB-2. this is based on several factors including the fact that i have somewhat small hands and i hope the 2 will feel better.

Joey, to address your point - my stroke was very crooked, unreliable, incomplete, etc. until i spent some time working with RandyG. my stroke is currently improving (slowly) so with time i hope that i could answer your question with a resounding yes, it is straight.

i do appreciate all input, keep it coming

Mike
