Has anyone shot with either one of these shafts? If so, what do you think?

This is in my opinion of course. I've played with both. Both shafts feel extremely solid, and are normally 4oz +-. Even though there is only 1mm difference (and you will definitely be able to tell), the taper of the classic pro gets larger at your bridgehand and fels like you are playing with a bigger dimeter shaft. When comparing these shafts to a predator shaft (314-2 and z2), the predators will feel a little hollow, less solid hit, but predators deflects the cueball less. The ob1 and ob2, another rival, feel soft, but deflection is roughly the same as predator. If you are concerned with having the lowest deflection, predator or ob1 or ob2 would be the way to go. If not, then the classic and the classic pro would be the ticket. A lot of people here in oklahoma are switching to the classic series, but I prefer predator 314-2 and my 2nd choice is the ob-1.
so you think the ob1 is lower deflection??
any data to back it up??
not trying to challenge you but i play with an ob1 now and based on descriptions of difference in feel was going to try an ob classic
if its not as ld as the ob1 i wont bother

I don't like super-thin shafts, so the Classic Pro holds no interest for me.
I have several OB Classics...and I LOVE 'em. Best aftermarket shaft out there, IMO.
I've shot with almost every LD shaft out there...and standard maple shafts from 40 (or so) different cuemakers/brands.
OB Classic...hands down...is the nutz.

It has a crisper fell on the hit. And yes my preference is the smaller tip at 11.75. I have tried to play with larger 12 to 13 for my playing cue and don't feel I have the best cue ball control. But on my break cue I like the 13mm range. Just my opinion and preferences. My best advice on any shaft is go some place that you can hit 2 or 3 racks of balls with what you want to try before buying.
