I tried an OB Classic on my 80's production Palmer. I have to say, I was reluctant for years on LD shafts but I like it. Once the Everest tip broke in and I removed some layers this shaft feels really nice. I just started playing as if it was a regular shaft and it grew on me after a few weeks. I always thought it was hype but shot making is easier when spinning the cue ball for position.
I do my own cue repairs and have tried all types of ferrule lengths, materials, and tip combinations on the cue with three different shafts but prefer the OB now for both performance and feel. I should have tried it sooner. Now to get the ring work matched up:thumbup:
