Hello everyone..
I purchased an OB-1+ shaft..
And i saw that the shaft is different than the usual construction of Ob shafts.. it is not made out of 6 flat laminated peices.. it seems that its radially laminated??
Does anyone know anything about it.. ??

They are still made pretty much the same way (6 half moon-shaped pieces)
as the original ones just now made out of normal maple instead of flat-laminated.

This is a picture of the old contruction:

i think the ob1+ shaft deflects more than the original ob1. I noticed this
with shots that required inside english.

No, the + shafts have the same internal construction as the earlier shafts. It is just that the finish on the new shafts is smoother so the lamination lines are no longer visible as they were with earlier models.

Shafts are made from top grade maple (hmmm, that sounds familiar) And they use 5 or 6 segments (depends of shaft) of that maple to form one shaft.

The process is so good, they offer lifetime warranty from warping.

I think the OB plus cues are a lot better than the old ones, but then again, you are suppose to keep improving. They did.
