OB Pro vs. OB-2+

What is the difference between the OB Pro+ and the OB-2+. The only thing I see is the ferrule and carbon fiber tip backing on the Pro. Am I missing something?

If that is the only difference, which one plays better. I am between this and the McDermott i-3 shaft. Thanks as always

Both have sr6+ construction, and both have the tip ends engineered for LD. Difference is ferrule material. 2nd difference is that the ob 1 and 2 plus shafts are drilled out all the way through and foam installed, whereas pro and classic + are not. Classic and pro shafts feel more close to a normal shaft.

The OB+ series uses solid pieces instead of laminated. Not only is there less deflection but also more feedback. I've got a Classic+ on a Greg'sKues butt and it's pretty sweet.

I had both the 2+ and Pro + and played with both. The 2+ definitely has a softer hit, has something to do with the maple ferrule. Felt mushy to me. The Pro+ had more solid feel to it and that's the one I used more often. It's all personal preference though so nobody can really tell you what is best.

Go with the Pro+ shafts. A LBM ferrule is so much better than those proprietary wooden thingies!

My preference is the OB +Pro. The hit is very crisp, and the claim of 'Ultra low deflection' is true in my experience.
