Well I just got back from the Oceania 8 & 9 ball champs held in Melbourne Australia. I had a good time over there and managed to qualify and make the top 32 in both events, after which I was knocked out of both comps. But I was happy with achieving this at my first oceania champs.
One interesting point though is that the two players that knocked me out are both playing in the next IPT event.
The first player was Ben Nunan, who I believe is a qualifier for the next event, in the 8 Ball. While I was knocked out of the 9 ball by John Wimms who I think is a card holder. So it will be interesting to see how these two do at the next IPT event.
From the results side of the tournament Ben Nunan went on to win the 8 ball competition, while the winner of the 9 Ball was Australian Stuart Lawler.
