I have a question about very old cogs. I remember being at the old Pro Tyme billiards in Alsip, IL maybe 20 years ago when Joe Gold brought in his first cue (this is from memory so it prbobably wasn't exactly 20 years ago and it might not have been his very first cue but it was an early one). From what I remember, it looked almost exactly like a Southwest.
I know from the first blue book he used to use a southwest so that makes sense to me but my question is when did he stop making them look like southwests and come up with his signature style (silver stiches)? How many of the old style were built?
