Old cues!?!? What to do with them!?!?

I have played with about 10 different cues over the last 5/6 years. I just play with one until I find a good deal on a new one. So I have accumulted 10 cues in the price range from 500-1000 price range i.e. a few Gilberts, Diveneys, Olneys and a Sugartree. What my question is. Do you think down the road I would make more money holding on to them or trading them in on a bigger cue and putting it in the closet. Hoping to get some opinions from some experience!

IMHO, having cues from four well-regarded makers in the closet is better than trading up and betting that the bigger cue will be a better investment (cues aren't really that good of an investment, if you ask me...better places to hide your money). No one knows who the next "Gus" will turn out to be 10-15 years down the road. You hear a lot of stories of guys selling a Bushka or Szam years ago for peanuts and kicking themselves. If you have your eye set on a bigger cue now, save up for it and make it a fifth in your collection.

I'm guessing this thread was mistakenly posted in this, the Live Stream, section.

Cheers.
