I took out my old Falcon. My after market wood shafts fit and mt cf shafts fit also. OB, Pred.Tiger in wood .Cynergy and Black in Cf. Around 30 yrs old and 5/16 x14. I dont know how true but l think the first pred were built in the Falcon plant in Canada

If all you want is to have it fit anybody with a cue lathe can turn down the pilot. I assume it screws on but wont go down all the way
Exactly. That's the path I had to take when received my custom made shafts (by Danielson). I made all the measurements but the inner diameter where the shaft pilot fits, so turned out I could not screw new shaft snug. A millimeter or two were removed in a repair shop, so here we go, a happy bunny with a shaft that is still piloted ;)

J&J sells new falcon shafts for $120

Sorry. I've never seen a Falcon like that.
I've seen Gulyassys like that. Mr. Gulyassy might have been one of the first to do. Then of course Predator and others do that today.
I really don't know.
Looked through every falcon catalog.this must be one of the early falcon cues made it has the extended wrap and a brass pin screw butt cap.cue might be a custom made one I' been told

I'll look at mine tomorrow and I'm pretty sure it has a long wrap as well. I think maybe a couple inches of butt and the butt cap below the wrap.

Mine has the allen head screw that holds on the rubber and goes into the weight bolt. I can't remember when I bought mine but think mid 80"s

Mine has about 3" of butt and the end cap below the wrap. The cue is Birdseye maple with black/red points and has the diamond inlays with a small round inlay above/below each diamond. I can't post pics it says file too big

It looks a _bit_ like the TL-5 model in my 1998 catalog, but the TL-5 has 5 points, an inlaid butt sleeve and slightly fancier rings. For what it's worth ( :D ) the TL-5 was $595 CAD in 1998.

Dave <-- not much help other than to say it's NOT a 1998 model
