Please PM me some info too, thanks.

You might get some shaftwood out of them as well, cutting them might not be the best plan....

i got to go through them, most are just good enough for sneaky petes.

i got a couple hundred with a bunch of old stuff i bought.

most of the stuff is well over 25yrs old. got a bunch of shaft blanks that im not sure what im going to do with, most i dont think are up to todays standards but would be great for resto. shafts on old cues.

Merylane,
If those shafts are that ugly dark color, with those nasty dark looking tight grains, i don't think anybody would want them.
Just send them to me and i'll pick up the shipping :D.

Hey there DS, Thanks for the interest. I'm only building a few cues at the time. I have been doing sales & repair work for a while now, so the cuebuilding is really just a 4-5 year hobby for me (most of which was spent aquiring equipment :D ), and I'm just trying to aquire the various hits I will use right now, so have not sold any. It's just something I love to do in My spare time. My time for working on them has been very limited. I do have alot of locals wanting cues, but been holding them off, because I want to make sure I am offering them My best work before I put any out there. I do have a few nearing completion that are test subjects now. I am going to use them personally, and let a few people here try them out to get their feedback on them. After that I will be considering offering some like them for sale. I have not found the hit I like yet, but have found what some others prefer, and the results seemed very good. I believe everyone is different, therefore I want to make sure I put the correct hit in the hands of the people I sell to, so I am just kind of taking It slow, and trying out different materials & technics.

I do thank You for Your interest, and will put you at the top of My fellow AZ'ers list. As soon as I have something to offer I will let You know. And ofcoarse I will post pics Of completed cues as I finish them. Thanks Again, Greg C

Don't forget us locals down here as well Greg. I definately would like a plain cue when you can get around to making one. No hurry with this one...wink.

Oh, I definatly won't, You Guys are the ones that have supported me thus far, so By rights come first. Just taking My time, and trying to make sure I am putting quality work out there. You know as well as anyone how I feel about that :D . We'll get you setup with something before too long. My father pushes me on the inlays, and design, so that slows me down alittle. All I want to do is work on the hits of the cues, and try to tell him not everyone can afford the time that goes into some of them, and besides that, some would rather try a basic before investing more in a fancier one. I know I would.

What kind of woods & ringwork you like again? Maybe I'll start on a few plain janes. I am working on a few sneakies also.

btw, I should be doing that finishing on the batch I am trying to get ready soon. Still dragging My feet alittle with everything else going on, but will drop you a line when I know for sure. I have one that's real close, and may just go ahead and finish It before the others are ready. If so, I'll let you know.

Thanks

Greg C
