OLD Rockland Country pool hall...help remembering!

Here's something that's been driving me nuts. There used to be a pool hall in Rockland County, NY. I think it was in Nanuet (or right near Nanuet, anyhow). I believe it was on Rte. 59, a bit past the mall. So if you come out of the mall and make a left on 59, then head up the hill, it was up there somewhere.

It was a real pool HALL....long room, tables on either side. No food, if I remember,

The guy that ran the place was called Jay. Really nice guy, and generally everyone there was pretty pleasant.

I'm just trying to remember what the place was called, and also what happened to it. Did it shut down or move somewhere else?

Thanks for any information.

Googled it......................

Was it called Cousin's?

The room was called Holli's. It was named after the owners daughter . Toby Sweet owned and ran the room. You can search Toby on AZB as there are several threads about him.
I played all the time there in the 70's.

Holli's! Yup, that was the one. My father and I used to play there all the time. We had relatives in New City that we would often visit on weekends. I don't remember Toby, for whatever reason. The guy I'm thinking about (I think he went by the name Jay) must have just worked there, and just happened to be there most of the time I was there. Of course, this was 30 years ago so my memory could be failing me too.

I couldn't remember the name Holli's to save my life and it was driving me crazy. Thanks!

Wow! What a blast from the past!
I played in that place in the early 70's too and yes, it was the real deal, a real pool room. I still have friends in the area.

I knew not much more than zero about pool at the time.

Back then I usually played in the wonderful old pool hall in the old train station in Ramsey, NJ, a few miles away at the other end of Rt.59.

I was a young guy with a Porsche and a pool cue. How could life have been better?

edit: Wasn't there a small room on the main drag of Pearl River also?
