Old Sampaio or knockoff?

I found an old cue in my home and would like to get it positively identified. It looks very similar to the Sampaio "The Premier" cue but there are some major differences. Most notably, the carving detail isn't as elaborate as what I have seen from the 1964 catalog. It also lacks the large circular inlay at the bottom, has a larger white butt, and has no brand stamp. I have heard that there was a period of time when Sampaio did not stamp their cues, but I have no idea when this could have been.

The way I see it, it is either a pre-1964 Sampaio, a knock-off of some sort, or the Finck cue number 134 [can't find a picture, but I got the idea for that here: http://users.skynet.be/billard.billiards/miscell.htm]. Does anyone have any insight or thoughts? All help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are links to pictures of the cue:

Thank you for your time!

It appears to be a Sampaio knock off. They are common and the carving and the material are dead give aways.
