Here I have an old TS shaft that is not in perfect shape. The ferrule is ivory but has some yellow staining on it and some light blue marks from chalk. The shaft rolls straight and hits very very nice, I used it for a short time with one of my TS cues and was very pleased. The only problem is the joint rings didn't and don't match any of my current TS cues so I have no use for it.
I acquired this shaft when I bought one of my TS cues and have had it sitting for some years. It is 28 1/2 inches from the joint collar to the top of the ferrule. There is a small chip in the collar that you will see pictured. The tip that is on there now is anybody's guess, I assume it's a standard LePro or Triangle, it's not layered. For being so old it is in excellent shape and would prolly look brand new with a little cleanup.

I am asking $80 shipped but will hear all offers.

Cheers,
Jim

what size is the shaft after the ferrule?

The ferrule is 1 inch long making the shaft 27 1/2 inches long after the ferrule. I don't know the exact diameter of the shaft but I think it's between 12.50 and 12.75mm. I need one of those stinking cards to measure the diameters of shafts. I also do not know the weight of the shaft cause again, I don't have a scale :-(

Thanks,
Jim

Also, if this is not a Scruggs shaft, does anyone have an idea what kind it may be? I have a 1980 TS and this looks a bit older than my shafts for that cue. I know Tim has been making cues since about 1978 so...

Could also be a Joss West shaft if your not sure of what it is

It may very well be, I got it with my current TS player that had 3 shafts but this 4th one obviously didn't belong to my cue. I am only assuming that it could be a Scruggs so any guess could be correct but you people out there may know something I don't ;)

older joss shaft

FOR SURE NOT A JOSS WEST SHAFT, THE STICH RING BLACK COLOR ARE TOO THICK.:D

The stitch rings and the pilot, on this shaft, match those of one of the first joss cues ever made during the first three months of joss cue with Dan Janes and Bill Stroud

I just saw a cue that was that old yesterday and the joint wouldn't mate to a joss west

On that older joss it had wider veneers also
