This is either a Scruggs or a Bob Frey cue. Opinions? Sorry a few pics are kinda blurry. There are no markings on this cue. I was told the buttcap had been replaced. I got the cue right.

its a bob frye cue. I can easily tell by the design. nice looking cue though!

Really, you can? Can you tell me what features are frey specific? I'm really serious with my question as I have a Titlist conversion that is suppose to be Bob Frey's work but don't have any marking or identification.

Really Hard to Say for Sure

Based upon the pics.....I wouldn't be sure it's either

A better pic of the joint and buttcap with the bumper removed might give us a better idea.

Looks like a nice SP -- is it for sale? :D ;) :)

yeah

3x8/10 SS joint with short splice. I use to have one similar to that with gonzalo alves and straight grain maple. I think yours is probably built in the late 90s.

the joint isn't stainless steel.

3/8x10 perhaps awful hard to tell from those photo's to me.

doesn't look like either. But I can't tell from the pics. My guess would be a converted bar cue from an unknown cuemaker.

Could be;)

No telling!

You could mike the cue at the joint and butt. Looks like something Jeff might have built in Timi's shop but no telling without the origional butt cap!
Nick :)

I got the cue for a great price I said the same things when I bought it I told the guy i wasnt sure what it was but I will say it hits great. Stiff but has great control. I put a medium moori on and it is playing very well. I think I mightmake it my new playing cue. I'll call it a srcuggsfreymotteywhatchamacallit:p :D
