old yellow micarta ferrule

Appreciate any advise on where to obtain them. Would also appreciate your views about different ferrules which have a similar hit.

Btw, are these ferrules normally capped or with an exposed tenon?

There was a fairly long thread about this on RSB a few years back. You can search for it on google groups. I don't remember everything but I seem to remember that it's not for sale anymore because it contains asbestos and I also remember reading that somone bought up the remaining stock and is hording it all or something like that.
