First I have read enough comments on Mr Olney's cues to believe they play well. I purchased a New Olney basic cue off the forum because I'd misjudged the completion of my Southwest. I had my Hercek but other than a trip to Anchorage or league play I wasn't comfortable in a bar with it. So I purchase a single shaft Bloodwood no points Olney for my car cue. After a year of play I am still happy with the cue. I can't say it plays better than my Hercek but it plays as well, and that is HIGH PRAISE! I have only ever spoken to Jeff once on the phone about a second shaft and it was a pleasure. I can't comment on his other cues but if they play like this they are worth the money. I will say his shafts screw tighter than any cue I have had but they maintain it.
