What's your score MR/MS OLYMPIAN ????? In 3 - 15 BALL RACKS
I have implemented one of many events, as gymnastics, FOR BILLIARD OLYMPIANS.
Today when you practice I would like you to please utilize your superb athletic ability of skill and knowledge. That means stroke, stance, position play and problem solving. With your mental preparation to succeed, imagine I am scoring your presentation and ability at the table. Just as an athlete would do in preparation to physically move the ball down a playing field. Give yourself 1-10 on how you showed up. DONT LAUGH - gymnasts and ice skaters get graded on presentation. This will also get players to start dressing appropriately in your pool room. Be fair while scoring yourself. in Olympic games, .005 could make a difference, ask Phelps. . .
You have 3 attempts at a 15 ball rack to accomplish your 100 point goal. Your highest score remains your final score. Break the rack, run the 15 balls in concession. "As Efren would do."
A) NOW - you have a perfect score of 100 + your 1-10 presentation.
B) You are scored on your break. Break the balls. 8 balls past half the table +8. 7 balls past half the table +7. 6 balls past half the table. +6. and so on.
C) You are allowed 1 lift / ball in hand. However it is a -25 deduction.
D) You are allowed to skip one number in your rotation, but you must go back to the lowest ball on the table. Even if this is done successfully, it is a -10 deduction and can only be done once.
E) If you miss 1 ball, you must go to your 2nd then 3rd rack.
F) Your are scored on mental preparation and accomplishing each shot skill. IE: Straight in, Draw, Bank, Follow, Masse, Jump, Position - all the ATHLETIC skills you use in a game. 3 points a ball so a perfect score to get through the rack is 45. However if you get out of line or you do not play the shot as originally planning when thinking of your table run out. -1 to -2 points.
