Omaha pool scene?

I may be in the area during the weekend of June 5th. Just wondering if I should bring my cue. Any open tournaments that weekend, or anyone who would like to bang 'em around that Friday or Saturday? I'm also a sucker for a ring game if there are any going down. :)

I'll check to see if there are any tournaments that weekend. You can check out Big John's and Side Pockets. Usually a little more going on at Side Pockets. There are some good players that frequent both places.

Where are you coming from?

Cool, I appreciate any info you can provide. I am in central MO. Wife's family is having a reunion in Omaha that weekend, so I thought I'd look in on the local pool scene and maybe meet a couple of AZ'ers.

Harold's bar has a lot of tournaments too. I'm doing a relay for life on Friday and Saturday night that weekend but shoot me a pm. I might be able to get a way for a few games.

On Sunday is the June Jamboree at Holy Ghost Church. If you like cheep beer, good food, stupid games, and lame rides it is a fun time. I try to set a new beer drinking personal best there every year;) They raffle off a Harley and a car every year. Winner gets pick of the two, runner up gets the other. My filthy rich buddy won a new mustang last year...gee another car to add to his collection:angry:

Definetely SIde Pockets or Big John's

There is a daily golf game on the snooker table at Big John's and has been a cheap ring game on Saturday afternoons. Side Pocket's in my opinion would be a better bet for the night time. There is also a nice 9 ball tourney in July at Big John's that is $750.00 added race to 9 $40 entry with only $5 green fee. Not sure how far you are away but it should be a nice payout.
