One piece cue

For the past six months I've been playing with an 19 oz. McDermott cue with a Moori tip and using a 20 oz Valley bar cue for breaking. Today I forgot my McDermott and used the one piece Valley for breaking and playing. The hit seemed more solid and I think I was playing somewhat better than normal. Do you think it's only in my mind or do you think a one piece cue can affect your play? I know people tout Predator and OB-1 shafts as low deflection and can affect/improve your play. I would like to hear your opinions.

No sir it is not in your head. The best playing cue i ever owned was a one piece Dufferin i changed the tip myself. The cue has no flex at the joint because their is no joint. This makes the firmest and solid hitting cue you can get. I have been looking for that hit ever since. The closest i can find is a full splice cue. If you notice all pro snooker players play with full length cues.
