One-piece slate

OK, pool table experts: I have a line on a solidly built older table with one-piece slate. WHat are the pros and cons, compared to a contemporary three-piece design??
 
Pros......mmm, cant think of any. Maybe easier to level.
Cons- Heavy as hell.
Hard as hell to move.
If you break it it could snap and need to be entirely replaced due the heavier stresses.
 
Tough to move.....but not any easier to level RIGHT! lol Maybe easier to level because there ain't a whole lot you can do. I would avoid one pice slates....unless it is a 7 foot bar box! lol
