One Pocket Help

How is my hair?
I am learning to play one pocket but the guy that is helping me keeps beating me. I've heard that gambling is the best way to learn, but he is absolutely throttling me. We are only playing for $5 a game but I am down over $400. He says that I'm getting better. I think I need to work on my break. I've only made 2 balls in my pocket on my break. I usually make 2 or 3, but they are always in the side pockets or other corners. Everyone that already knows how to play at the pool hall is offering to help me at $5 a game, which is very nice of them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get better?

If you are ever in the Greenville area I will help you out. It sounds like you aren't hitting the break hard enough. I can hook you up with a couple of guys that play horribly but they like to bet very high.

Hi,
I do not know whether u are joking or serious.If u want to get better,spend some money to get lessons from a certified coach/instructor.The guy who is supposed to be helping you and taking your money is NOT the guy to get teaching from.There are many who claim to be instructors and do not waste your money on them.Go to a qulified and certified instructor. visit the web site for one pocket.Cheers
 
Balls on Break ?

well im am just a amature but. i have always been tought that u dont break hard at all. try to hit the side of the rack opposite of your pocket just hard enuff to make a ball hit the end rail and leave the cue close to the opponets pocket.
if this is not the correct way i would sure like to hear from some good 1 pocket players,

I have a lot of dvd's with Grady in them. Sanford and Son is one of my alltime favorites. I didn't know he could play one pocket though. Come to think of it, there was an episode where Fred and Lamont had a pool table. I wonder if thats where Grady learned how to play.

I highly doubt it's DM.

Well, DM once said in RSB that he was back on AzB under a different name and noone could figure out what it was. Three of the first four posts in this thread are newbies and LetsGoEat is clearly a Troll. It's not anything that I'd lose any sleep over.... imo

I'm not sure about DM but Fred played Top Flight one hole.

I can assure you it's not DM. He has not been back on here since he was banned. He's lurked but he hasn't made a new screen name. He just said that on RSB to make people wonder.

He didn't even know that he could come back on here until I told him. He refused to come back but once he knew that it was possible, he made the post on RSB.

As for LetsGoEat.... yes, it's a troll. I actually thought it was you Doug. You've done better lately but LGE is doing the same thing you used to do all the time... pop up in the middle of a thread and make an off topic post that they find funny.
