I understand the 8-ball, 9-ball, and straight pool break. But I am not familiar with one-pocket enough to understand what constitutes the ideal or "traditional" one-pocket break. Any thoughts on this? WEI table it please!

The ideal break hitting the second ball with high inside english making the corner ball in your pocket and thus leaving yourself a shot for the run out. If you do not make the corner ball you will at least send balls towards your hole and leaving the cue ball high enough to where your opponent would not be able to bank your ball away from your hole or a ball into his hole.

It's important to hit a split shot (roughly the equivalent of "the pocket" in bowling). If the cue ball does not contact the headball thin before it hits the second ball, a sell-out results. For a good explanation see: http://www.onepocket.org/getting_started.htm
