Hypothetical question.
Let's say there was an Open and Women only section in a tournament, limited spots for entry (lets say 64). The times of play is different for each field (due to table availability or something). Should someone to enters the womens side, also be allowed in the open field, even if that means that a male who can't play in the other side at all loses that spot? So if 68 guys wanted to enter, but a woman entry got in before them, some-one is out in the cold.
Sure the thought could be "they should have signed up sooner", but they don't have an option to play in 2 tournaments like the females do.
Has this happened before? I would think that you should be limited either enter the Open or the Womens but not both. Or just have only Open fields.
