If you are going to buy a repair lathe for doing tips, ferrules and cleans etc, you will be far better off buying a mid size lathe from hightower (cuesmith). That configuration you are looking at uses a drill motor, enough said. You will want to be "centered" when doing a ferrule especially, and I would be suspect as to that maching being so and I didnt see an adjustment if it was off center. There does seem to be adjustment for up and down but not side to side. You get what you pay for, I would hate to see that set up with a shaft that had a slight wabble.

Save yourself a lot of grief--look at what tps@b has for sale on this forum real good equipment at a fair decent price and will do everything you want to do--you won't find anybody better than Todd to deal with.

I'd back up 15 yards and punt , don't even bother to pass , I wouldn't let anyone touch my cues using that ... I agree with the suggestion get a Cuesmith or Unique ...

well that completely turned me away from that option. now all i need is to sell the meuccis im trying to right now to buy a cue lathe
