I've searched and searched and can't find decent pics of the interior of an Instroke Leather 4x8 Soft Case. What is your opinion of them? Do you have pics of the inside? Does the large pocket have the side pocket for a jump cue like the cowboy or buffalo?

The Instroke site is severely wanting.

Thanks,
Chris

also put this in google - instroke 4 x 8 soft case - clicked images and there were pics that come up of interior and exterior. only a few of the pics were instrokes so you have to sort through. but there are a few good ones.
as far as opinions go i don't like soft cases so i can't give you much that would help you, sorry.
as to your questions about pockets. contact jb cases on here. john is the original designer builder of instroke. he may even have more pics.

The Instroke 4 x 8 that I purchased in 07 has felt lined dividers with 1 x 2 elastic bands on each board.
I prefer the pocket type but this is still a nice case.

Thanks for the replys.

The links refer to an Instroke w/a non-instroke interior.

Googled but no good pics.

Cuesblues - do the butts/shafts slide into a pocket under the elastic or is it just held by the elastic and lay on top of the cloth? I.E., do they slide into a sleeve or not?

Thank you, Chris

chris, the john i mentioned in my post is the john mentioned in the link i attached. his full name is john barton and he posts on here frequently. like i said he is the guy who will know all things instroke because before he went on his own instroke was his baby. he can tell you what ever you need to know.

soft leather case

Nothing against the Instroke, but I would like to suggest an alternative: I just bought a Gil Castillo butterfly soft case. The quality of the leather is superb and the each partition for the shafts and butts is suede leather! I highly suggest you check it out. First rate.

Some Instroke case have jump butt pocket on the side and some do not. As far as elastic, there are no pockets. Just elastic bands holding down the butt and shafts. The board that holds the elastic bands are held in the case by velcro straps.

I had J Barton make pockets with velcro straps ... it was relatively cheap but shipping cost from China to USA is not.

I like the size of the Instroke case as it's big enough to hold 4x8 easy and sometimes more ...

This is the butterfly style from Instroke.

When I designed this case it was made so that the butts and shafts fit efficiently on the boards. This case can actually hold 6x12 easily.

With the JB Cases I redesigned the interior so that it holds 2x4 on one board and 2x4 on the other one to hold 4x8. But the interior is made so that the butts and shafts can be inserted just like a top loading case with no flaps or straps to deal with.

Each cavity is well padded and the cues are kept entirely separated.

And of course we can do it any way you like,

I would like to mention that I carried well over $50,000 in cues tens of thousands of miles to countless tournaments and events over a period of 8 years in the Instroke cases with no harm to any of our cues.

The case is also not a soft case. It is a semi-hard case with rigid sides. on the protection scale it provides more protection than a soft case. If requested we can add hard plastic panels to the sides making it almost as secure as a tube case. This is accomplished by cutting the tubes from our 4x8 tube to make slightly curved panels.

Nice upgrade to the design of the in stroke. That's what turned me off to it when I used those style cases. Since I got my scruggs though I just don't trust anything but hard cases.

These Instroke Butterfly cases look pretty good for the price. I don't like the interiors with the straps, but the exterior tooling is nice.
