Orlando Billiard Center

ORLANDO BILLIARD CENTER had a nice turnout, June 18, for our 4th THIRD Saturday of every month One Pocket tournament. Paid down to 8 places with Adam Wheeler taking the big money. Out-of-towners gave Adam and a couple other locals some nice action pretournament and post tournament. It's an open, one day event, and no limit to players entering.

Just to add...

That is one really nice pool room. Tables are excellent, a bit fast and bank a bit short, but very nice tables. I think they are set up a bit better for 9 ball than one pocket, but they play all pool games very well. I especially loved how the corner rubber was cut on the GC IVs. If you get there early, I highly recommend the 1.99 breakfast...can't beat it with a stick! Sorry I played so lousy Doc, but I did not expect such strong competition. Even the locals beat me rather easily!

Maybe next time,

Yup the room was fantastic! And the 1.99 breakfast made my day. Very stiff competition too, I was quite impressed with the level of play there. Needless to say, I got destroyed but I would love to play in it again. Or at least ride over to watch and take advantage of the 1.99 breakfast!

Happy you liked the ORLANDO BILLIARD CENTER, Shorty and Skippy. I'm not sure the $1.99 breakfast will be here on your next trip, but the One Pocket tournament will still start at 1pm. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw on how far you advance in a tournament. Observing your game, Shorty, there were a number of players in the tournament you could have dominated, had the draw been in your favor. Hope to see you the THIRD Saturday in July.

Does Thom still run the pro shop there???

Yeap...pretty sure thats his name. Nice older gentleman. I have nothing but positive things to say about that room. Just this tournament draws some STRONG players. I might go over again to watch it, but doubt very seriously if I will ever play in one again. Too tough a field for a simple 25 dollar tourney. Guess it goes to show they need more hi dollar One-hole events.

Yes, Thom Grace is still doing a nice job taking care of cue problems, Bludworth. He requires, however, that you leave your cue over night. He's pretty busy.
