It was Oliver Ortmann from Germany who beat fellow countrymen Michael Schmidt 10-7 to take the title and the $3750,- first prize.

Because it was the 5th anniversary of the Open Weert.
There was Special Straight Pool event.
16 invited players where shooting for the winners take all first prize $2500,-
It was the reigning European Straight Pool Champ Niels Feijen who took the title with a 150-62 win over Belgium top player Mario Lannoye.
This including a run of 92 and out.
But the best match of the Tournament was the semi final between Niels Feijen and Thorsten Hohmann.
It was Thorsten who scratched on the break and Niels Feijen ran 100 and out!!!
This match and several other matches including high breaks where taped.

Ladies Tournament
39 ladies entered the Ladies Tournament and it was Aino Pehkonen from Finland who took the title with a 6-1 win over Belgiums Wendy Jans.
She took home a giant cup and $625,-.
