Pagulayan's new shaft

11.8 - 12.2 - 12.6

Smells like a Mezz Ignite to me ;)
I thought so too as Alex played with MEzz shafts in the past but Mezz don't do 11.8mm and this one is said to be made in Canada.
From the short video on the web site and some of the details, it looks like it might be a wood core wrapped in CF. an opposite hybrid?

Mezz do make an 11.8 now. Kieth Andy make a shaft like this. I think they share the same factory with Mezz. Interesting. A hybrid between the two perhaps.

$795 is absolutely ridiculous

They're buying tubes and finishing/assembling in Canada. Only a few of the big name shafts make their own tubes.

I'm thinking Rhino....
Rhino is just an assembler based in Vietnam. They don't make their own tubes. Predator, Viking/Whyte and Cuetec all make their own tubes. Not sure about Mezz, they might but i don't know for sure. Its a big investment to make the tubes, that's why most shafts on the market are just assembled/marketed by various co's.

It is the price of a pool cue……seems absurd but some people buy anything that’s new and dfifferent.

I think Mezz and Kieth Andy make there's in the same factory in China, finish them in Japan. I think Pagulayan gets them from the same place based on the spec, pricing, observation and general hearsay
