Palmer refinish

I have a Palmer first catalog cue that I'm trying to sell for a friend. It is in bad need of refinishing, but in the Blue Book of Cues, it says that if just anyone refinishes it, it drops quite a bit in value. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

for me it would depend on what model it was from the 1st catalog.......but scott does awesome work....also ryan aka rat cues is awesome...yes the cue is only original once but if it is a lower end model it couldnt hurt to much....also how bad is shape of the finish? it is worthless without some repair? take pictures and post...

I would retain the original wrap but refinish the cue.

Perhaps you should find out the current value and also
after a refinish market value before recommending the next step to your friend. :)

You cannot turn Silver into Gold no matter who does the refinishing.

ryan is who i would send it to.....i think he might have parts to clean up the window...if not then you cant go wrong with sending it to scott.....even if perfect however 1300 is going to be tough in this market....:embarrassed2:
