Has anyone ever used one of these well made English cues for pool playing as opposed to snooker? Are they better suited for snooker than American pool?

well, steve davis, had mr. parris make him a custom paris cue for pool. the cue has an 11.5 mm tip i believe, rather than the 9.5 for snooker and the 13 mm for pool, sort of a hybrid. i beleive parris snooker cues would add way too much english, thus go with a hybrid.

What are "S.D. style extensions"?[/QUOTE
Many of these
English cues have one shaft...approx. 43" and two butts (extensions?)/ one is approx. 15" and the other is approx 30".
These cues also have brass ferrules and make a horendous sound when they hit our big heavy pool balls.

Do you know if that was the cue Davis was playing with at the Mosconi Cup this year? It was an interesting hybrid, traditional Snooker-style butterfly splicing but with a Maple forearm and shaft instead of Ash.
