Pat Diveney Ebony Sneaky Pete Hustler cue

I have a Cocobolo into curly sneaky from 2006. I like it. Looks nice and plays nice. I would say hit is on the stiff side.
Third from right in my avatar.

Aren't they hand made? I'm afraid the cuts would be bad :/

Although I personally have never used one, I would say that I would be quite surprised if the quality was nothing less than top notch. Diveney cues are in pretty high demand and from what I understand some of his sneakys have made it into the hands of several pro players at various times. Indyq sells quite a few and seems to constantly be receiving more. I doubt very much that if there were quality issues you would see a constant ebb and flow of Diveney cues on the site.

Great cues by a super nice guy. His standard shaft taper is kinda stiff, sorta like a Gilbert. I had him stretch out the taper on mine and it played great. Only sold it to pay for a fancier cue.

Hit great, I had a hoppe style ebony into birdeye sneaky, Loved and still love that cue even know I let it go awhile back. They hit just as great as any other Diveney I have hit with, though I do prefer the hit of his sneaky cues, and yes they are known for it. Mine as well had some visible glue lines towards the bottom of the splices.

Things to Note. IMHO

- Thin slender butt taper, good for smaller hands or if you just like that feel.
- Shaft taper is a medium stiff feel, with good feedback to the butt/your hand
- Weights are low and most of the cues can be adjusted to what weight you want by changing the weight bolt.
- cues are balanced towards the middle, not forward nor back balanced.
- Knows for their strong clear coat, these cues look great and hold up nicely.
