Paul Hunter passes away

This is very sad news. I had the honor of meeting him in 2003 during his run at the World Snooker Championships. Paul fought right up to the very end - he never gave up.

Here is a picture of Paul when he won the Masters in 2004 over Ronnie O'Sullivan in 19 frames.

Paul was great person and a great player. My prayers go out to his family.
 
Tragic news - Paul was a very gifted young player.

I still remember seeing him progress from a top junior to a very top professional in no time at all. He had all the ability and temperament to beat anyone and he would certainly have stayed at the top for many years had this terrible illness not struck him.

A very sad day for all snooker lovers.

this is such a shock. especially as he's been on tv a few times since playing in tournaments during his chemotherapy which made snooker hard for him - i for one just naturally assumed he was recovering all this time. such a tragedy, and especially for his family he leaves behind. :(
