On the final stroke when you exacute the shot, do you guys believe that you should pause for a split second, "for feel". Alot of pros' do this, buddy hall is one where you can really see it.
And also do you guys have any thoughts on dropping your elbow on the fallow through stroke? I understand that the orthadox stroke is using the pendalum keeping the upper arm straight, but on the final stroke alot of people drop there elbow which in turn drops the upper arm. If you look at alot of pros you see this, Corey Duel does this elbow drop.

You have to pause. You can't go from backswing to final stroke without stopping at least for a split second. I think exaggerating the pause a little bit helps a lot. It lets your muscles settle for a second a get ready for the stroke and it lets your brain get ready too. As far as the elbow drop, in most players (including myself) as near as I can tell that occurs during the follow-through. The cue has already made contact with the cueball, the cueball has already moved away, and you can't help or hurt it at that point.

all the people that have seen me play say i do the same thing it's nut but if u try to stop doing it .U'll miss balls all day...trust me i fighting that monster now..

I feel the pause increases the accuracy on long shots and I think I can control the cueball speed much more with the pause.
