Pechauer weight bolt thread size

Garczar is correct. The companies make a big deal about using their weight bolts, but in the case of Pechauer, Joss, Viking, McDermott and some others, they are using this NC standard size where you can buy bolts by the bag for a fraction of what they charge and do just fine. If you get two different short weights you can stack them up to your heart’s content and create almost any weight you want down to a tenth of an ounce or so granularity, and push the entire stack up or down to make (really minor) balance adjustments. You can also use standard tap sizes to chase and clean up the threads.

Some of the companies use custom, non standard thread sizes for which there is simply no commercial product that matches their thread. The Players/Lucasi bolts with their 13 mm thread is an example of a purely a commercial decision to force you into buying their non standard parts at a premium price.
