I have a Pechaurer Pro Series cue with a 13mm shaft. I also have a JP Series with a 13mm but am thinking about getting a Pechauer P+lite shaft which is 11.75mm. Any thoughts? I played for decades with a 12mm. Anyone have one or can offer some thoughts?

I have been playing with the P+lite shaft for a little over a year and I can say it is worth every penny. I tried every other LD shaft except for the Mezz ones and it seemed to play the most like a hard maple shaft than any other brand out there. It is a beast!!!

Feel free to PM with any questions you want to ask.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Pechauer LD's.
You should be good to go.

I'm curious why you stopped playing with a 12mm.
I've been playing with a 12mm since the late 70s....
...it's low deflection but with more power than modern LD shafts....
....and I can make it squirt a little when I need to...something I can't do
with LD.

My shafts have a modified carom taper which makes for a stronger hit.
A pro taper 12mm hits like wet spaghetti.

I bought this pro pechauer and it had a stock 13mm shaft but now I'm thinking I would like to go back. Are you saying the Pro+lite 11.75mm will hit like wet spaghetti?

No, I don't expect the Pro+lite would hit like that....if it's anything like
a Z shaft, it will have a 'caromish' taper.

But if you took your 13mm to a cuemaker and told him to 'point' it to
a 12mm ( just shave on the last 6 or so inches )....it will hit like LD...
.... but a hit with more guts.

Where I have trouble with LD is long ,slow spin shots...where a 13mm
has a 'push' problem, the LD has a 'masse' problem.

I have found that 11.75 LD shafts are excellent for snooker.
