I currently have an instroke case and like it pretty well, but I worry about the lat?ches not holding at highway speeds on my motorcycle. Has anyone seen any cases like these, but sized for cues? I have used a lot Pelican cases before and they are indestructable and waterproof. Any thoughts?

I've looked into this a bit in the past. AFAIK no-one makes a Pelican-style heavy-duty case specifically for pool cues. However there are many such cases that are made usually for weapons like break-down shotguns that that will fit cues just fine. You can just lay the cues loose on the standard egg-crate foam interiors these usually have and let them be held in place when you close it or spend a bit more for a pluck-foam interior and customize it yourself. Another option if the case is large enough is to just put your Instroke cue case inside it.

In the Pelican range for example the 1720 model would be the best fit (On the page you sent) If you don't mind the appearance and weight of such cases other you might want to look at are Starlight cases, which are supposed to be more robust that Pelicans. You might want to look at their SC-061338 model. Note thought that this weight 30 pounds without anything inside it.

If you want something robust but a bit more attractive IMHO you can look good-quality aluminium shotgun cases from Americase or Alumatread. These are just about carryable at 14 pounds dry weight.

Finally there's the ABS plastic cases Longoni make. They have the advantage of being purpose made for cues, but I'd personally doubt that they'd survive being dropped off a motor bike at speed myself. (The shell might be OK but the hinges and locks would probably pop.)

Thanks for the info. The longoni cases look kind of cheap. Has anyone on here tried them?
