From another thread, Gene is in ms. and has implied he may come by and see us at THE REC, located one block south of MEMPHIS in SOUTHAVEN, MS. Give me a call if you would be interested in meeting him and maybe getting a lesson while he's here, BILL ROWSEY, 901-277-3740. SUNDAY OR MONDAY maybe!

Played Clint some more today. Won back the money I lost yesterday.

We're meeting tomorrow to play some 8 ahead sets for $1000.

I think his last name is Mc Collough. Plays real good and is not afraid to bet it up.

Sorry about the delay but I'm still coming. Hopefully with more money in my Pocket.

Have a great day Geno......

Get a spot, Gene! You're spotting him a decade or two...:D

You have definitely got a tiger by the tail

The fun part is surprising the tiger. I don't think in a million years that they thought I'd come back the next day and get even and they would quit to regroup.

He's going to have to play real good today if he's going to win, I'm getting in stroke. It's a shame but I hadn't played hardly for about 2 weeks. Giving alot of lessons. But that's what I do.......and love it.

Playing part I consider just a great bonus and alot of fun. Winning is more fun so I'm going to try and have alot of fun today.

You know I probably could have gotten a spot but I've never done things that way.......I just Play Pool..............Let's see who can win............

Let's see, three hours to Jackson, MS, another 4 hours to Memphis. If I get the new car before you get too far away, I'll consider a road trip.

What's your phone number is case someone still wants to get a pool lesson from you? BTW, for those of you who don't already know it, GENE CAN TEACH POOL AND HE PLAYS LIKE BURNING HELL.

Hi Gene,

So how did you come out with Clint? or did you guys not play the 3rd time?

Darryl

Lesson From Gene

Hey guys, my name is Isaac and i got a lesson from Gene last night and i have to tell ya that if you are anywhere around the memphis area you need to come by and get a lesson from him. I was blown away at how awesome the perfect aim system is. I was kind of leary about getting a lesson because i feel like i've been hitting them pretty good lately and i didn't want to mess that up but now i'm playing even better than before and the shots that i used to have trouble with have become so much easier because i know how to aim them better and how to line up correctly. Thanks Gene.

i took a lesson and I liked gene, but I hope to clear my head of all the confusion and get back to my old self soon... Its been a month or so since my lesson with him and I'm still trying to learn how to play again lol... some things work for some people, unfortunately for me, that wasn't the case...
I can vouch for a friend of mine however. He took a lesson from gene the same day and I don't think he's missed a cut shot since :)

Gene's still in Memphis area

Gene is here and doing a GREAT job with the lessons and the playing.

Room owners, do yourself a favor, try to get Gene to make your place his home base if he's in your area. He'll live up to his billing!!!!! How often can you find a good instructor and a good player that will stay around and not charge for an up front fee. HE'LL CARRY IS WEIGHT!!! and those that listen to him will be well rewarded. bill rowsey

Memphis

I met with Gene yesterday for a lesson at MemphisBill's place. Memphis Bill is always a gracious host and runs a fine room. I am really thinking about heading down there more often. You really should stop by if you are ever in this area.

I had not seen the DVD before the lesson. I read a little about the thread and visited Gene's website before the lesson.

The lesson was great. Anytime you have a high level player evaluate your stroke you are going to benefit. With Gene I got just that and a thorough coverage of the Perfect Aim system. I think we were at it for about 3 hours.

It was clear to me that Gene was very interested in improving my approach and execution. He is very personable and made sure that I got the information before moving on. Gene is a good teacher and is very patient.

I like the Perfect Aim techniques. I am going to have to work it in and work at it to make it work for me. I have a somewhat unorthodox swing. I have found it to be pretty effective but I am always wanting to make it better. I noticed some immediate improvement with certain shots. Others are going to take me (personally) some time to digest and work with.

I like the system----easy to grasp at all levels of play. Gives you a system that is repeatable and reliable. I found it pretty interesting that I have shot a lot of shots over the years and probably hit them well. Yesterday I got a new perspective on things and see the same shots differently.

I know that I benefitted from the pre-shot routine knowledge/system. I had never seen some of the information that was covered and I own all 90 something Bert Kinister videos, Jimmy Reid's materials, all the Cappelle and just about anything pool related you can think of.

I highly recommend anyone interested in contacting Gene for a lesson. He is highly recommended.

Hi there gforces,

I will be in the area a little longer than I thought. I think it will take at least 4 or 5 days to get all the lessons in before I go.

If you stop in and I'm there I will review some things and see where your at. And the pleasure was all mine working with you.

Thanks again geno............

Gene,

Just in case you want to visit Mobile, AL while you are in the south....
I don't remember the smoke being that bad.......

I'm pretty sure the Breaker's Tournament NEXT weekend, not this coming weekend will be a pretty big tournament on the bar boxes. I think they have smoking and it is a long grueling tournament normally with 128 players plus side action on the 9 foot tables all weekend long.

www.breakers-billiards.com I believe...

Thanks Gene. I appreciate that.

I'm leaving Memphis Monday. I've taken care of most of my business with perfect Aim. There are a few that I just couldn't get a time for them inbtween the others but at least they got the video.

Now I have a decision to make. Do I go to Breakers in Mobile tomorrow and teach some Perfect Aim and get ready for the tourny and have a whole lot of fun.

Or do I go back to Eau Claire Wi. and finish my therapy on my shoulder and be bored to death.

I'm going to decide tomorrow when I get rolling.

It's just been great here in SouthHaven at Bill Rowseys Rec. It was an 8 day adventure that I will always remember. And isn't that what pool is all about is adventure. It was when I was 12 and it still is now that I'm 57. That's alot of adventure.

If I go to Mobile it will be another week before I get to St Louis but I will still get there.

Have a great day Geno...........

MOBILE, MOBILE, MOBILE.

There is another new and large pool room in Mobile, AL not far from Breakers.

With a guaranteed payout of $15,000.00 Breaker's is the place to be if you like playing on Bar Boxes. Plenty of action on the big boy tables.
Also, a big ring game on Friday night if I am not mistaken also on big tables. Everyone here are the dates for the 2010, 9 Ball Tournament. August 7th & 8th.This years tournament will be $15,000.00 Guaranteed pay outs. 1st will pay $5,000.00, 2nd $3,000.00, 3rd $2,000.00, 4th $700.00, 5th & 6th $500.00, 7th & 8th $400.00, 9th - 12th $350.00, 13th - 16th $275.00. Entry fee will be $80.00 and there will be a $20.00 green fee. 3 1/2 X7 Valley Bar Tables, Race to 9, Double Elimination, Texas Express rules, red circle cue ball. Tournament starts August 7th at 2:00 pm sharp.
Players Auction will be August 7th at 11:00 am sharp.

If you go to Mobile, that will seal the deal for me. I have been toying with going to New Iberia this weekend where Dragon Promotions is putting on a tournament but have been leaning toward Mobile instead.

Those guys down there in Mobile, Alabama shoot straight as an arrow but if someone wants the Perfect Aim lesson from Gene they will like it. If they don't like it, they can play him for some dough. :grin-square:

Good luck with whatever you do, Gene.
