Perimeter ball polisher

I bought one of those and a light from Perimeter Billiard. Both work fantastic! I've used the ball polisher many times. I have 3 sets I rotate in and out and other players have used it as well. It comes with a bottle of spray wax but I still use the aramith wax.

There are dozens of “brands” these Chinese ball cleaners are sold under, on eBay, Amazon, and other websites. They’re pretty much all the same except for color and plastic housing shape.

I recently bought a version on Amazon for $319 - it’s a good product (link below). Very small form factor for a 16-ball cleaner, and relatively quiet operation. Only concern is that balls tend to spin on one axis for first minute, then another axis after it stops and reverses for second minute. So I typically put them through another cycle after manually turning each of them a little.

It's a little cheaper than Diamond polisher, you think is equal quality?

Hmmmmm........I have always just used a DIY carpet line a bucket cleaner I made for around $20-30...(cost of a car polisher).........They do great at cleaning the balls....the only knock on them is the lack of ball divider.....This thread reminded me that I have a swapped out ceiling fan motor that works fine laying around waiting for something to do.....A 3D printer will take care of the ball divider and/or any other needed components.....looks like I have a project in the works!!

seems to me the turning is on the same axis just different direction
the stripe orientation doesnt change
so by turning them you are getting more of the ball cleaned if the part of the ball doesnt touch anything

I've never used a Diamond polisher. But I've heard one being used, seemed much louder compared to this one.
I'm not sure how loud the Perimeter unit is but I built a Diamond knock off using the same parts and motor as a Diamond and it's pretty quiet.

The Diamond is very nice. It's not loud and works great. Have no input on the inexpensive versions but love the dual platter Diamond. Hard to argue whether they all clean equally without having them on hand lol.

$399 seems high when the prices for those off-brand machines start in the twos.
I think the idea is to buy a pile of these generic, Chinese machines from AilExpress for $100 and resell them for as much as you can get. For a few bucks more they'll even brand/label them for you.
