Persimmon

Has anyone ever worked with persimmon wood? I understand it turns well but smells really bad. I'm looking for a small piece (putter head size) if any body has got some they would like to sell. I've never seen it in a cue but it never hurts to ask.

Andy, I'd go see the closest pawn shop or custom golf fitter. Old style wood driver heads should be available at a very small price. You should find a large selection of well seasoned wood heads at larger pawn shops ...
