For years there has been discussion of when, not if, a snooker player would change over to pool and dominate there. On youtube we can see Steve Davis win a 14.1 match against Mizerak decades ago. Also O’sullivan prevailing over Strickland in a short 9-ball set, just a few years back..
Tonight Stuart Pettman posted the high run so far in the Derby City Classic 14.1 challenge. 117 on a very tight 5x10 table. Perhaps this is the highest 14.1 run ever filmed or captured on video on a 10 foot table, Since the 5x10 has been out of common usage since before WWII. I understand Stuart resides in Thailand now and now longer plays snooker professionally. He is scheduled to play some 10-ball in a match on Jan 30.
