Could someone describe the hit of his cues? Are they crisp, sharp hitting? or more smooth, buttery feeling?

Ping or Donk...lol.

Thanks!

I don't know what ping or donk is but my cue plays like nothing else I've ever shot with, however, I specificly asked for longer, thinner taper, whippy hit, softer sound, longer shaft.
But I do this with every cue I buy,
In conclusion, out of all the cues I've had made with very close specs, Pfd is the best hitting cue which is surprising to me, having the same shaft diameter, taper length, weight, joint and ferrule materials, out of several different cuemakers and they all hit different.
Call him, explain the hit you want, see what he thinks, he's extremely knowledgable, and helpful.
Quality of the work and finish, flawless. But as far as hit, "custom" cuemakers, unless they stick to a certain hit, will work with you in how you want YOUR cue to hit. And Paul understands that the word custom in cues is not only limited to the cue's appereance.
